Electronic waste is full of raw materials
The term WEEE stands for ‘Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment’ and refers to small electrical and electronic (household) appliances. Renewi’s Coolrec has its own treatment capacity for these valuable materials. At Coolrec the appliances are dismantled, shredded and sorted into different sub-streams. Metals and plastics are made suitable for further recycling or, depending on their quality, can be used again directly as raw materials for all sorts of new metal and plastic products.
