Construction and demolition waste
Construction and demolition waste provides raw materials for the construction industry among others
Construction and demolition waste (CDW) is a mixed waste stream created during construction, renovation and demolition works. We collect construction and demolition waste in RORO containers and sort it in advanced robot-assisted sorting facilities. Valuable streams such as wood, metals, bricks/rubble and plastics can then be used again as raw materials. Another important raw material is sieved sand, which can then be used again as a building material. The quality of the combustible residue is then improved to create a secondary fuel.
