Renewi is pleased to announce the appointment of Kwafie Jansen as Chief Operating Officer (COO) Specialities, effective 20 January 2025. With her extensive experience and strong leadership background, Kwafie will play a key role in advancing the strategy and growth of the Specialities division. 

The Specialities division, comprising Coolrec, Maltha, and Mineralz & Water, focuses on processing specific mono-streams such as electric household appliances, glass, contaminated soil and wastewater into high-quality circular materials. Kwafie’s leadership will help drive operational excellence, enhance safety standards, and support the division’s growth ambitions.

A proven track record 

Kwafie holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences and an MBA from Nyenrode Business University. She brings over 25 years of leadership experience from roles at Vattenfall and Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE), where she successfully managed operations, safety, and business growth. At JDE, Kwafie was most recently the General Manager of JDE Professional Netherlands, overseeing the entire Dutch professional business, driving sustainable market growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
