Global awareness of the climate crisis and commitment to the CO2 reduction targets of the Paris Agreement provide powerful support for our business model. Companies are facing social pressure and regulations to reduce their environmental impact: by reducing their carbon footprint, recycling waste and purchasing more sustainable materials for production. This places Renewi's leading, innovative and competitively priced services at the heart of the circular economy.

Creating value from waste together
Our strategy enables us to become a European leader in recycling and circular materials, deliver attractive returns for shareholders and help protect our planet by reducing carbon emissions and pollution.
Renewi is a leading European waste-to-product company. By converting waste into valuable materials, we extract value from waste. We collect, process and recycle waste. We also connect players in the circular economy in order to develop more innovative and sustainable solutions together. This is how we help companies and communities realise their circular ambitions, with tangible impact for people and the environment.

Our business model
Our business model revolves around maximising recycling. We aim to increase the quantity and quality of recycled material, thereby avoiding significant carbon emissions throughout the value chain.

Inbound and outbound materials
Our business activities are based on two material streams: inbound waste streams and outbound circular material streams. We obtain inbound waste streams by collecting from our customers: companies, government organisations, healthcare institutions, educational institutions, secondary processors and other organisations. These waste streams form the raw materials for our recycling process.
On the other hand, we have the outbound circular materials. These are the materials we sell in various forms to producers, secondary graders and traders. High-quality circular materials often approach the quality of primary materials and are less carbon-intensive, which is essential for slowing climate change and for resource conservation.
