Confidential waste processing on the rise at Renewi

17 April 2025

Waste-to-product company Renewi is investing in a new recycling line at its Renewi Destra site in Breda. This advanced installation increases productivity for the secure destruction and recycling of confidential waste by nearly 50%, helping respond to the growing demands from businesses regarding data protection and sustainability.

Confidential waste: A key challenge for many businesses

Confidential waste covers a wide range of materials that must be carefully managed due to their sensitive or private content. This includes documents containing confidential information, digital data carriers, and other sensitive items. Secure destruction is essential to eliminate any risk of data breaches or misuse.

At the same time, recycling these materials brings environmental benefits. By reintegrating certain elements into the production chain in a disposible form, it helps contribute to the circular economy and promotes a more sustainable use of raw materials.
